Since Barack Obama will be in Corpus Christi this afternoon, the TAMUCC Philosophy Club has asked that we indefinitely postpone today's Moratorium Forum on the Death Penalty, originally scheduled for Friday, 2/22, at 5:00 p.m. We considered asking Mr. Obama's campaign managers to reschedule his speaking event (to be fair, we had set ours up first), but decided in the end to let him have it - this time.

Hopefully this event will be rescheduled in the near future, or possibly substituted with another speaking engagement on the 5th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

In related news, Dave Zirin has told me that he will be in Austin in March to make up for his cancelled event at BookPeople. More details to be posted later.
