Submissions Policies
This page was last updated on August 31, 2009.
Content on this website consists mainly of blog posts and podcasts, and we would love to add more people to our blogroll. Contact us ASAP if you're even remotely interested. In addition to the content on this website, we also publish a magazine, though this appears irregularly.
Letters and Submissions
Letters to TNTR should be 500 words or fewer. Letters will be edited for spelling, grammar, and libel; other submissions will be edited for these and readability. A letter’s content is to remain that of its author.
TNTR strongly encourages reader submissions of original news articles, columns, analyses, comics and artwork, essays, and photojournalism. We especially prefer submissions dealing with themes relevant to Texas: capital punishment, immigration, prison privatization, border militarization, Texas politics, etc. Press releases, announcements, and communiques from radical and progressive groups in Texas are also acceptable submissions. Depending on the nature and timeliness of the submission, it might appear on our web site, in print, or both.
Submissions can be as long as they need to. We consider endnotes a bonus. When submitting, please include a two to three sentence biography of the author.
In addition, we seek submissions from diverse contributors. We strongly encourage women and people of color to submit their work.
No one is paid to work on or write for TNTR, so please do not ask. TNTR aims at social transformation, not profit.
Get Involved!
Interested in writing for us? We hope so. If you would like to blog for this website, write for TNTR, or just send us a letter, please email us using our contact form. We're down with feedback, suggestions, or just basic communication, so feel free to contact us for any reason. Because of the irregular nature of this publication, we do not have a permanent mailing address. Nearly all of our correspondence is through email. Please use our contact form first if you wish to send us something by post.
